Lake Albano (Italian: Lago Albano or Lago di Castel Gandolfo; 
41°45′00″N 12°39′54″E / 41.75°N 12.665°E / 41.75; 12.665) is a small volcanic crater lake in the Alban Hills of Lazio, 15 miles southeast of Rome. On a height of 961 feet (293 m) above sea level, overlooking it is Castel Gandolfo, where the Pope has a villa.
